Questions

Does Glasslid need an internet connection?

No. It previews the files on your PC and sends nothing anywhere. The only thing that can reach the internet is a document that itself links to something online, such as an image in a Markdown file; Glasslid loads it the way a browser would.

Can I use a key other than Space?

Yes. In Settings you can record any F-key, or a combination with Ctrl or Alt, as the preview key.

Does it run all the time?

It waits in the system tray, which is why the preview opens instantly, and it starts when you sign in to Windows. You can turn that off in Settings; the preview then works only while Glasslid runs.

What happens when the free trial ends?

After 15 days, Glasslid shows a reminder instead of the preview until you buy it in the Microsoft Store. It’s a one-time purchase, with no subscription.

Is there a light theme?

Yes: Dark and Light, in Settings. This page shows the one that matches your system.

Which files does it open?

Most of what a PC holds: images including camera RAW and PSD, video and audio, PDF and Office documents, Markdown, code and archives. The full list is in What it opens.
