Privacy policy
This policy covers Glasslid, the Windows app, and this website, orangearcsoft.com. Both are run by Orange Arc LLC, a California company (“we”). Guaranteed QR, our QR code service, has its own privacy policy.
The short version: Glasslid doesn’t collect anything. Your files stay on your computer, and the app sends nothing to us.
Glasslid
- Glasslid opens files on your computer to show them to you. It doesn’t upload them, and it has no telemetry, analytics or advertising.
- It keeps its settings and a diagnostic log on your computer. They never leave it unless you send them to us yourself, for example with a bug report.
- A file you preview may point to something on the internet, such as an image in a web page or a Markdown document. Glasslid’s built-in viewer then loads it the way a web browser would, and the server that holds it sees your IP address.
- Links you click, such as a map of where a photo was taken, open in your web browser.
- For some file types Glasslid uses Microsoft Edge WebView2, which is covered by Microsoft’s privacy statement.
Buying Glasslid
Purchases, trials and refunds go through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft handles your payment and account details under its own privacy statement. We receive sales reports, not your payment information.
This website
- The website has no cookies, analytics, advertising or trackers, and no forms.
- It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you email us, we use your address and message to reply and to fix what you report. We don’t sell or share them, and we delete them when we no longer need them.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t track you across other websites or allow anyone else to do so here. Because nothing here tracks you, browser “Do Not Track” signals don’t change how the site works.
Children
Glasslid and this website are not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Your choices
You can ask what information we have about you — in practice, only emails you sent us — and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to hello@orangearcsoft.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
